Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and seasoned Senior Bookkeeper to join our Tel Aviv team. (Hybrid work schedule)

 

As Senior Bookkeeper, you will report directly to our VP of Finance and will oversee all of the accounting functions and collaborate on all of our global accounting needs.

Additional responsibilities will include: General ledger, consolidation, and reporting of financial results, leading an annual audit, optimization of processes, and internal control. Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a high-growth organization to drive operational execution.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monthly/Quarterly Close: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of account reconciliations, analysis and presentation of the monthly consolidated financial close. Additionally, assist in the preparation of financial reporting

  • General Accounting: Manage general ledger and all sub-ledgers. Maintain the company's overall system of accounts, books, and records on all company transactions and assets.

  • Manage and implement technical accounting and tax pronouncements and stay current and adopt all new technical accounting pronouncements

  • Audit: Manage the day-to-day audit process including the preparation of support, Financial Statements and interactions with the external audit firm

  • Working closely with the Operations team to monitor manufacturing forecasts, ongoing costs including shipping costs and inventory costs

  • Policies, Procedures and Internal Controls: Work with the team to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures as required with a focus on driving efficiencies through effective and efficient use of our accounting systems

  • Financial Management: Work closely with the VP of Finance to manage the financial results of the business

  • Provide oversight and support for the management of department-level operating expenses

  • Familiar with the implementation of ERP systems

  • Manage our cash flow and banking operations

  • Manage European VAT and US Sales Tax issues

  • Payroll: Process Israeli payroll and benefits administration

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in finance-related roles at a global hi-tech startup

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Bookkeeping or Finance

  • Accounting degree or equivalent skill level/ experience required

  • Proficient level of English, spoken and written required

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and ledger systems

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Strong understanding of accounting methods

  • FP&A experience is very helpful and a big plus
